It depends on your plan. Free = 30 pages total, Starter = 120/year, Standard = 100/month, Pro = 200/month, Business = 1000/month. Additional pages available as **ScanPack** (200 pages for €4.99).
Yes! All sensitive data is encrypted **client-side** with AES-256. The server only receives the ciphertext. Additionally, Row Level Security protects at the database level.
Yes! Via the QR code or a shared link, guests can join **without registration**, select items, and see their share. The whole process takes just a few clicks — see the "Sharing & QR Code" help page.
After selecting and claiming your items, you'll receive a **payment code** (e.g. B-A3K9M2) and a **PayPal button**. Click the button, paste the code as a note in PayPal, and send the money as "Friends & Family" — **free of charge, no fees**.
The payment code is your personal code for this bill. When you paste it as a note in your PayPal payment, DocNado can **automatically** match it to your share. Without the code, the bill owner has to search for your payment manually — which can cause delays.
The bill owner hasn't set up PayPal yet. You'll see a notice to contact them directly. The amount you owe is still displayed. Arrange payment between yourselves (e.g. cash, bank transfer).
When creating a bill, you can optionally specify a tip and choose how it's distributed: **Proportional** (based on each participant's order value) or **Fixed** (you cover a set amount, the rest is split among others). Guests can decide for themselves when claiming items: proportional to their order, a custom amount, or no tip at all.
No — if you select **"Friends & Family"** in PayPal, there are **no fees**. DocNado uses PayPal.Me for direct P2P payments between you and the bill owner.
It's **recommended** but not required. With the same email, DocNado can match your payment automatically — even without the payment code in the note. With a different email, it still works as long as you paste the payment code as a note.
Yes, DocNado supports both languages. The language is automatically detected or can be manually selected.
Yes, scanning and managing your documents requires an internet connection. DocNado is a PWA (Progressive Web App) — you can install it on your home screen and it behaves like a native app.
Via the Paddle Customer Portal in your profile settings. You retain full access until the end of the paid period.
No, your data remains. You can export it (backup) before deleting your account. Without a paid plan, you cannot perform new scans (except the 30 free pages).
Push and email reminders are a feature of the Pro/Business plan. When downgrading to Free/Starter, no new reminders will be sent. Existing settings remain saved.
